It is a necessary tendency to materialize channel professionalization in the field of broadcasting. The core on channel professionalization is the location which is most basic and fundamental to the existence and development of media. Chinese education TV stations (channels), which are the earliest professionalized, must carefully research their locations if they want to make more and more progress on the road of professionalization.We can make a concrete investigation on the history and status quo of Chinese education TV stations (channels) from audience, style, program, and marketing. Throughout the analysis, we find that almost all education TV stations in China are located to struggle for audiences educating and educated in various age stages, jobs, statuses, and levels of income and so on. It's widely thought that education TV stations should attract audiences into a channel with different programs and take lively and relaxed programs people like in order to attract all of educators and people educated. There are two reasons for doing so. First, the style of television itself determinates that relaxed and lively, luimorous and intelligent programs are more suitable. Second, it's required by the view of "inject happiness into education" in modern notions on education. In conclusion, the location of present education TV stations (channels)in China which is not reasonable and accurate enough begin with "mass education" "wide culture." Though they are audience-separated in appearance, but actually, they are popularized. They concentrate on programs rather than channels.The author in this thesis takes the view that the reason for influencing on precise location of China education TV is that there is not enough theories about public television in China. Journalism, Medium, and industry economics play the main role in guiding theory and practice of Chinese education TV, but effects pedagogy takes are so much less that we excessively emphasize on the industry feature of media while weaken its education type. So in practical and theoretical exploration on locations of education TV stations in China, we can borrow foreign experience and it is a breakthrough to redistribute resources in the sector by constructing China education TV net.
