Just like air and water, the information technology is playing more and more important role in people's life and changing people's traditional life style with the rapid development of computer science and internet technology. Under the circumstances, people become increasingly eager to learn the information technology. However, more and more problems have been revealed in the information technology education, most of which are due to the shortage of effective resources on the information technology curriculum, with the lack of sharing and reusability on relative resources as the focus. The key dealing with this problem is to stipulate and implement a integrated standard of learning technology. Since 1990s, many business institutions and academic body have researched the standard of learning technology with the birth of theory on learning object. The theory of learning object is that according to the standard of learning technology, the designer of teaching resources will devise and develop a digital education component used repeatedly in different study environment by analysis.Under the direction of the theory of learning object, this research, whose focus is to realize the new information technology curriculum resources, consults some relative standards of learning technology both home and abroad in order to construct a new model of curriculum resource with the help of some new and popular technologies. This paper firstly introduces the state of researches on learning object both home and abroad and reveals problems presenting in the construction of information technology curriculum resources in China. Secondly, this paper focuses on the analysis of the concept and feature of learning object, relative standards of study technology and some theories of instructional design. Thirdly, this paper elaborates in details the basic thought about resource design based on the theory of learning object, which refers to splitting reconstructions and packages of content. Lastly, centering on the above analysis and combining with concrete features of information technology course, this paper analyses and designs a system structure and functional module of information technology curriculum resources based on the theory of learning object, what's more, relying on some advanced technologies, such as HTML, ASP.NET, XML, this paper develops a curriculum resource system of Information Technology, which is suited for the theory of learning object, easily to be shared and reused, in middle and primary schools of Hunan Province.
