In the coking production, the three cars of pushing car, blocking car and extinguishing car work together, can make the coking production carry on smoothly, or it will lead to major industrial accidents. Therefore three-car interlock control is a very important part of coking production. It is the core of production safety in the coking plant. And the locomotive location technology is also in the three-car interlock system's key technologies.There have once been all kinds of locomotive location technologies in the history. Some of them have a worse precision, some of them have a poor reliability, and some of them cost higher excessively. So the locomotive location technologies can't get wide promotion and application under this background. In this paper, the author proposes the method of locomotive location based on detecting phase technology, which has the advantages of higher location precision, lower building costs and stability in works. Applied in the coke oven three-car interlock system, the technology will replace others. And it can greatly reduce building costs by 170 thousands yuan above, which can make the three-car interlock system being used more widely, thereby ensure the coke produces safely.Firstly, this paper elaborates the principle of locomotive location based on detecting phase technology, and describes details of the implementation plan. Secondly, the design of software and hardware and the realization of data transmission are described one by one in the third chapter, forth chapter and fifth chapter. Finally, I summarize this paper in the sixth chapter, and propose future improvement comments.In the design process, I has completed the analysis of the principle of locomotive location technology and completed the design and debugging of hardware circuit, and has carried on the simulation analysis and the experimental verification to the system performance, which proved that the location error is not bigger than 1cm, which satisfies three-car interlock system's requirements of location precision. Through this task of design, not only my professional knowledge have been consolidated and improved, more importantly, I have been tempered in practical ability, which built a good foundation for my professional technical work in the future.
