Along with the development of science and technology, the automation technology utilization become more and more widespread and the wireless communication also become more and more familiar to public. Automation wireless technology in weighing technology is waiting for development,and the weighing instruments not only posess weighing fuction but also own great progress in intelligent, network-based, and other areas. The original wired data transfer method has been far from meeting the need of users, and so the wireless data transmission becomes realization.This topic comes from project about GPRS network research on the wireless data transfer system of WanLi Technology CO., Ltd ShanXi province which is based on embedded Intelligent weighing Instruments XK3208-A1, adding wireless monitor and maintenance fuction. GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) which suits nobody duty is obtaining the more and more widespread application in industrial automation domain, but until now GPRS has not been applied in intelligent weighing instruments. This topic depended on the advanced mature mobile communication technology at present, performance remarkable telephone module MC55, as well as the SOCKET network correspondence programming technology. Rcsearch accomplished successfully the visit to multiple GPRS clients, greatly strengthed the customer timeliness which monitored to the measuring appliance.This paper mainly has solved three problems. The first is about how GPRS network function embedded in intelligent instrument. The second problem is about how to realize net path about data exchanges between server and client. The third problem is about establishment of servers supporting for multi-client visit.This paper is divided into four parts around above problems:The first part summarized the background and significance briefly,GPRS stability, the convenience and technical maturation, and carries on the comparison to each wirelesss communication way and obtains the feasibility and necessity of adopting GPRS network to communicate. In addition it introduced the composition and theory of this system.The second part introduced realization of wireless network from network way, Dynamic domain name analysis, port mapping, APN including the third chapter. Data from MC55 pass through GSN and then switch from GPRS to Internet data, then to server through port map,vice versa. Solve the second problem here.The third part was used to solve first problem. It maily elaborated hardware and software about client. The first problem is solved through the connection between serial port of original XK3208-A1 and serial pin of MC55. The forth part maily introduced the server program including perfect VB program and VC++ program which can complete communication function. In addition it introduced experiment and its conclusion. Conclusion indicates that the system has realized data transmission between client and server, requiring only eight seconds from visit of server to returnig the required information and analysising of results showed during normal computer network speed.
