With the rapid and high-speed development of Internet technology and multimedia technology, the web-based education has been one of the important booming fields in the network, and has been being promoted and popularized day by day. At the same time, learners propose a higher requirement for the quality of three- dimension, interaction, immersion and reality of learning resource and scenario required under network environment. The traditional experiment teaching software on a stand-alone terminal or network experiment teaching software that based on two-dimension has presented the weakness that is imitation, interaction and immersion are not strong in the network teaching, urge web-based education to find new media technology out. Web3D technology of the network-based table virtual reality gives us the opportunity which changes current network experiment software level, the technology is favored by web-based education because of its high quality in three-dimension modeling, freedom interaction and low-level requirement for hardware platform. Though setting three-dimension scene, the instrument models and experiment scenario, presenting a more interesting experiment course is already not a kind of wild hope in the browser for learners.This thesis combines the teaching request in current armored vehicle starting device experiment in the army, analyzes and compares the related questions of Web3D technology in developing and making virtual experiment from the perspectives of theory, technology and practice. We compare with many Web3D technology, pass by customer communities ,the easily use, function strength and the future development trend, after that, we choose the technology of Java3D, because of facing the object, owning the bigger customer community, its cross-platform, can provide more freedom characteristics of Java3D technology to carry on armored vehicle starting device experiment. Designing in experiment, around the core and soul of experiment purpose, starting the design demarcation, we emphasize the elements, such as scenario . In the experiment realization part, give the more reasonable virtual experiment developing process, at the same time starting motors for four parts modeling, learners modeling, the creation of experimental situations, the characters walking animation and the way of teaching instruction have been achieved. and to carry on the general summary for familiar and difficult questions in developing experiment.Finally, we analysis characteristic and innovation of this research, and expect virtual experiment based on Web3D to popularize network teaching courses by quicker speed.
