With the popularity of Internet, the rapid development of multimedia and web-based technology, the human society has entered an information society, the traditional classroom teaching has been unable to meet teaching needs, and web-based education because of their remote real-time interactive features have become a new generation of educational technology that from computer networks and multimedia technology. In network education, web-based courses as an important carrier of content to learn, the design, development, implementation, etc. have been paid more and more attention from web-based educators. Currently, there are many types of web-based courses that have been developed involving all fields, from the application of web-based course, there are two forms: one is based on classroom teaching, web-based courses only as a complement to classroom teaching methods; the other as the main form of teaching and learning. No matter what form as, the design of content'show and the specific mode of practice are worthy to be deep thought. The web-based course of "Computer Assistant Instruction" is just as a complementary way and on-line extension of the reality classroom teaching. This article based on instructional design theory, according to the "Smith - Reagan" instructional design model, selects courseware-structure and record-keeping from the basic components of "CAI" courseware's design to be teaching content, do instructional design. And based on this, do the development.Based on the analysis of the definition of web-based course, do the position of the subject, and Proposed that the purpose of stating the web-based course is implementation the goal of classroom teaching. The theoretical basis of the web-based course is instructional design theory, use the "Smith - Reagan" instructional design model, selects courseware-structure and record-keeping from the basic components of "CAI" courseware's design to be teaching content, do the instructional design from the learning environment, characteristics of learners, task, teaching strategies and teaching evaluation based on the content. In teaching strategy, teaching organizational strategy is embodied, under the guidance of refined theory using semantic network to do the organization and characterization of the knowledge, under the guidance of components display theory do the design of micro-teaching organizational strategy. And, on the basis of instructional design, select the Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 as a major development tool, under the guidance of the software engineering thought , from the development environment, system's analysis,operation flow,database design to the function achieve do the part development on the content. After stage in the trial tests, the web-based course could basically achieve the target of the aids role of the reality classroom teaching.Finally, make a summary of the prime task of this article, proposed the research deficiency as well as to the next study and the work study forecast.
