Filament winding is a production technique for composite structures, in which impregnated fiber bundles are guided through a pay-out eye on a rotating mandrel. Now, filament winding technology based on gyration component is comparatively mature , but filament winding technology based on combined revolution surface is a difficult problem, how to solve this difficult problem is very important to extend filament wingding application bound and to guide filament wingding practice. This paper accomplishs the parametric winding molding and the mesh winding molding of combined revolution surface, and develops a CAD/CAM system for combined revolution surface. The system could complete the mandrel surface modeling of combined revolution surface, design the fiber paths, finish the post-processing, and realize the real time simulation of fiber paths and machine paths.In the aspect of combined revolution surface's parametric winding , the paper expatiates on geodesic steady winding theory and non-geodesic steady winding theory of parametric winding, and presents non-slip and non-bridge qualification of non-geodesic winding. Parametric equations are obtained by establishing combined revolution surface's math model, geodesic differential equation and non-geodesic differential equation of combined revolution surface's trunk are founded, and according to these equations winding line type is designed. In the aspect of combined revolution surface's mesh winding,fistly, the theories of mesh winding and implementation process are expatiated, also the paper obtains non-slip and non-bridge qualification from the angle of geometry. Afterwards, the combined revolution surface's winding tracks are designed again by mesh winding. Meshing the combined revolution surface's model , picking up information of mesh nodes and sorting mesh notes, and designing arithmetic of doffing points'judgement to judge whether the mesh notes are doffing points. Finally, obtaining winding line type.During design line type by the two methods, emulator based on Visual C++ and OpenGL is used to validate winding line type instantly. After obtaining winding line type, postposition processes are implemented to compute machine movement track. Finally winding experimentation is done by numerical control fiber twister. The problems in experiment are analyzed, and the solutions are put forward. It is proved that theory is correct throuth the experiment.
