Research On Interface Interaction Design Of GPS Automobile Navigator

The trend of modern products is being informational. Information products are more and more popular now and play an increasingly important role in our daily life. With the development of information products, the demanding of such products is growing higher and higher, not only "useful", but also "easy to use", "wanted to use". The demanding is Associated with interface design, so the interaction characteristic of interface is becoming an important aspect in measuring overall performance of information products. GPS automobile navigator, as a new generation of information products, its application is becoming more and more widely. It has special user groups and man-machine environment, therefore its interactive interface design has individual principles in the specialized field of automobile navigation besides the general principles.Firstly, this paper analyzed the basic requirements of GPS automobile navigator, including precise electronic map, speedy operation and good interactive design. Secondly, it introduced the development and research results of interface design and interactive design. Thirdly, it deepened the theoretical study, summed up the connotation and implementation methods of interactive interface design. After that, this paper focused on the research of steps and methods of interactive interface design of GPS automobile navigator. According to the design steps, this paper studied: user research, man-machine environment of navigator, information architecture, and visual design. It analyzed steps and strategy of interactive interface design of GPS navigator, proposed key points in designing intelligent mode, and summarized the main principles of interactive interface design through these four aspects above. Finally, this paper applied its own research results to one actual product to analyze the interactive interface design of the product and to refine it.In the course of search, this subject utilized the methods of comprehensive analysis, user survey and case study. After theoretical comprehensive analysis, it attached more attention to user survey and case study. Through analyzing these specific data and interface examples from user survey and case study, this subject proposed practical design strategy and design principles, hoping that these can make some references for interactive interface design of GPS automobile navigator.This paper was comprised of five chapters. Chapter one introduced the research background, significance and writing mentality of this paper. Chapter two described the composition of GPS navigation system, the development of GPS automobile navigator, as well as a summary of its basic requirements. Chapter three summarized the theoretical status, the connotation and implementation of interface design and interactive design. Chapter four focused on the steps and methods of interactive interface design of GPS automobile navigator. It detailed analyzed every design steps to find its design points, and concluded the main design strategy and design principles. Chapter five applied the research results to analyze the interactive interface design of one actual product to find its advantages and disadvantages, and to refine it.
