In our country, the coal is the most important energy, it accounts for 70 percent of the total energy. Coal industry occupies the important position in our country, but the trend of its security is not fine. At present, there are dozens of remote monitoring systems of mine safety in use in our country, but they are not open and interoperability, and also difficult to integrate various subsystems into a comprehensive automatic system. The fast development of information, especially network technology and computer technology provide a very good condition for coal mine safety remote monitoring system. Therefore, it's very necessary to propose coal mine safety detection, monitoring and management system base on network.This project is supported by the office of information industry in Shan Dong province, and is base on the application of Yan Zhou coal mine. This paper designed coal mine safety detection, monitoring and management system which combines the B/S and C/S structure, in the base of comparison of coal safety monitoring system home and broad.Technologies of web-based remote monitoring are studied: MVC design pattern,JSP,Struts Framework,JDBC,the advantages and disadvantages of C/S and B/S structure. According to the "General technical requirements of coal mine safety" and the actual demands of coal mine, this paper designed the overall hardware structure and safety project of the monitoring system, proposes software's architecture which integrates B/S mode and C/S mode. It alse propose to make use of Struts+Oracle+JDBC technology to realize B/S structure. Designed the structrue of database, the data of various subsystems of coal mine will be integrated into the database which is in the system data server. In the B/S structure, the user can view all security information of coal enterprises in the system on Web browser. Through the Web browser leading departments can seize the trend of security of mine which provide base to make decision. In the C/S structure, users can monitor the security situation at real-time of the local coal mine. Control the relais under the coal mine, realize remote power-off and locking operation.Detailed designed the system's software platform, Including software structure and functional module. Introduce how to use Struts technology to realize B/S mode. The functions of the system are implemented, including instant monitoring,historic data and curve,report module,alarm module,gas drainage module,parameters-setting module. And alse exhibit the manual-control module and class-definition module in C/S mode. Finally, the paper's work is generalized and some ideas about further development are put forward.This system has greatly enhanced the capability of preventing disaster in coal mine.Provided an important technical support to upgrade technologies of coal mine safety. It can make the security in coal industry to healthy develop and fundamental turn for the better. The system not only has a great significant to guarantee the safety of mine production, but also play an important role in the development of China's information industry. It is the concrete embodiment of "Using information technology to simulate industrialization".The system not noly can apply to the coal mining corporation effectively, but also can promote to mining industry, it's social benefits are very great.
