Currently, with global wireless technology improving, it becomes extremely convenient for people to accomplish mobile communication. At the same time, since wireless technology is applied in the field of automatic control systems gradually, many kinds of protocols for wireless communication come out one after another. So far, there are lots of wireless communication technologies in existence, such as digital broadcasting station, RTU, GPRS/CDMA, Bluetooth, ZigBee, wireless HART and so on. The study of wireless communication technology applied in industry control field becomes the hot point in the field of automation.Using the GPRS network resources, GPRS remote inspecting system, which holds the advantages of high covering rate and wonderful transmitting performance, is a convenient way in wireless communication for the current automation systems. And it is mature in middle distance and remote wireless communication.The content of this study includes the following parts: the ductwork pressure booster automatic control system, GPRS wireless network and the remote distributed managing system. Ductwork pressure booster distributed facility is mainly applied in secondary booster in high buildings for urban ductwork. Based on utilizing former ductwork hydraulic energy, ductwork pressure booster compensates the latter ductwork for the energy we need, by changing of rotate speed of the pumps in the control of transducer. Simultaneously, minus pressure is eliminated automatically. The principle, functions and actualized methods of ductwork pressure superposition are introduced in this paper. In addition, the principle of GPRS communication and the construction of GPRS wireless control network are expatiated as well as the flow chart, experimental data and the developing idea of remote inspecting software.Mass of the experimental data shows that the ductwork pressure booster could utilize the energy sources of hydraulic energy in former water supply and it meets the technological criterions appointed by national water department. Combining the technology in wireless communication, the ductwork pressure booster distributed facility provides a high automatic managing system for the departments in water supply and gains the great social significance and economic benefit.
