Curriculum Development Teaching Pattern is to conduct the teaching process using the course packages developed by the instructors. In order to use this teaching pattern, the instructors and students should exchange information, such as schedule, teaching documents and scores exactly and duly. The curriculum is developed, so the teaching process is open. When this teaching pattern is used, the teaching process is overseen from many aspects. By this way, the teaching quality is ensured. The Teaching Information Exchanging System is developed to support this teaching pattern. The system is developed with the B/S pattern, which is easy to develop, deploy and maintain on the .NET platform. This paper analyzed the .NET framework, the ASP.NET and the ADO.NET, and studied for the method of deploying the n-tier framework. The software development is not only for the execution code, but also the artifacts used to control, evaluate and communicate in development process. UML is the tool that can provide these artifacts. This paper analyzed the history, the elements and the application of UML. This paper also studied for the modeling method using UML to construct the Web applications. A reasonable software development process is one of the key points leading to a successful software development project. This paper brought forward the Components Based Software Development Process on the .NET Platform after analyzing the RUP. This process concentrates on the components and use the UML as the modeling tool. It is suitable for the small Web application system on .NET platform. At last, this paper analyzed and designed the Teaching Information Exchanging System using the Components Based Software Development Process on the .NET Platform and the UML Modeling language and described the implementing process.
