Data acquisition is the basic means of gathering information. Physical can be collected, stored, processed and displayed to achieve the physical surveillance or control in the data acquisition system. Compared to tranditional data acquisition, remote data acquisition system has the advantages regardless of environment, climate and time. With the development of communications, computers, especially the diversification of long-distans transmission and the improvement of the technology, the remote data acquisition technology has been applied in a wide range.The design of remote data acquisition terminal through Internet based on ARM7 processor LPC2210 and embedded real-time operating system uC/OS-II is presented in this thesis. Temperature, pressure and other analog signals can be regularly collected. When acquisited data is displayed in the local area, it can be transmited to Internet through TCP/IP protocol. Remote transmission of industrial field data is realized on general network.In the part of hardware design, Ethernet interface circuit, RS-232 voltage conversion circuit, the system Reset Circuit, JTAG interface circuit are designed by LPC2210 processor for embedded control unit. Ethernet controller RTL8019AS is expanded with A/D converter in LPC2210 to achieve the functions of remote data acquisition system. In the part of software design, embedded operating system uC/OS-II has been transplanted in LPC2210 to complete system initialization and compilation of OS_CPU.H, OS_CPU_C.C, OS_CPU_A.S related to processor. Because TCP/IP protocol stack is not integrated in the uC/OS-II core, TCP/IP working mechanisms, the working principle of Ethernet controller RTL8019AS and its drivering methods have been analyzed. TCP/IP protocol stack is transplanted on Embedded operating system uC/OS-II so as to realize the function of network communication. The design of ARP, IP, UDP, ICMP, and other procedures are included in the transplantation of TCP/IP protocol. The programme of data collection terminal has been designed including programme of A/D converter, debug of local serial interface and UDP communication based on SOCKET. In the thesis the remote data collection terminal designed can collect the temperature, pressure and other analog signals and also can collect the switching of long-distance. It has good reliability and real-time quality. It achieves the expected goals of the design.
