Research And Application Of Data Warehouse In Medical System Of Management And Analyses

With the fast development of information technology, the scale of hospital database has been continuously extending and the complexity been dramatically increasing. Getting right information from a mass of data for the hospital's decision-making is becoming very important.This paper analyzes and constructs a hospital data warehouse from the "Jun Wei" Hospital Information System based on data warehouse technology, this work solve partly the existing problems in current hospital information management system. This paper puts forward a framework and scenario of constructing hospital data warehouse after researching the data warehouse technology and design rules, especially multi-dimensional data modeling is deeply analyzed and researched. Based on these works, we analyze and design the topics and logic model of hospital data warehouse, moreover, multi-dimensional model is dynamically managed combined with SQL Server 2005 Analysis Management Object.Another important work is the research and implementation of ETL tools, this paper designs and implements the components of ETL based on SQL Server 2005 Integrated Services. At last, Multi-dimensional data query can be done using ADODB.NET and MDX. Furthermore, OLAP is implemented using the components provided by Analysis Services.With the help of solution of data warehouse in SQL Server 2005, this paper researches and implements a hospital data warehouse, especially the key technologies are carefully discussed. We believe that our works will promote the application of data warehouse technology in hospital information system.
