In a knowledge economy age, competition of comprehensive national power inevitablely focus on knowledge competition more and more in all of the world and the intellectual property competition will be the fiercest domain. A significant trend on intellectual property research is interdisciplinary enhanced in foreigner countries in recently years, researchers analysis various decrees and make suggestions by complicated economics methods. Researching on intellectual property are popular by qualitative methods in China.In order to quantitatively analysis intellectual property papers , ACA, word frequency statistics and the multivariate statistical analysis methods are studied in the paper. The conclusions are followed:Though studying on intellectual property is at stable stage, there is unbalance phenomenon in study subjects and core authors have a uneven regional distribution. Academic Papers are published on periodicals which mostly belong to law science and library and information science. The discipline of intellectual property have two research groups, which one is law group and the other is library and information science group. Subject structure of intellectual property awaits to adjust and improve further.
