Analyzing The Related Disciplines Of Information Science By The Citations

With the rapid development of science and technology,overlapping and integration of discipline is the development of modem subjects important trends.information science is one.information Science absorbs constantly nutrition of other related disciplines,and through internalizing of itself discipline,and constantly evolving a new branch of science,but also radiates to other related subjects,for the development of other disciplines to provide nutrition and leading to the birth of interdisciplinary. Therefore,study of information science related disciplines is hot spots of the development of information science disciplines.The thesis adopts citation analysis of the theory and method,in China,during 1998-2006,Periodical Paper of Information Science with their references and cited documents of statistical analysis,and studies on related disciplines of information science and their influence degree from the absorption of knowledge,knowledge-proliferation,cross-cutting themes(knowledge intemalization).Study found that:Ⅰ.Different stages of knowledge transfer,there are differences in related disciplines of information science and their influence degree.Ⅱ.Different development periods,there are differences in related disciplines of information science and their influence degree.Ⅲ.Absorbing knowledge,knowledge-proliferation and cross-cutting themes(knowledge internalization)of information science was by an average grade of a comprehensive analysis.Information Science for the performance of relevant disciplines:Library is highly relevant disciplines; Moderately related disciplines are Computer Science,Information and Knowledge Dissemination,Economics;Generally related disciplines are Education,Politics and Law,Social Sciences;Low related disciplines are Agriculture,Medicine Health,Biological Sciences,Astronomy,Earth Science,Language,Military,Philosophy,Natural Science,Environmental Science and Safety Science,Transportation,Industrial Technology, Mathematical Sciences,Arts,Scientific Research,History and Geography, Marxism-Leninism Maoism Deng Xiaoping Theory etc.
