Study On Competency Of Network Publishing Industry In China

With the development of publishing industry and the improvement of computer technology, information technology and network technology, a new industry -network publishing industry - has emerged on the base of network industry and publishing industry. Network publishing is a great revolution in publish history. It changed the media, concepts and business models of the traditional publishing completely, together with our information environment. The competency of the network publishing industry in China has a relation with its status in the word network publishing industry. It is an inevitable tend to develop network publishing industry. As an important part of the intellectual industry, a new increasing point of the national economics and a newly emerging national industry, the network publishing should be developed greatly. As a conclusion, study on the competency of the network publishing industry in China will greatly improve the development of the network publishing industry in China.This thesis mainly consists of five chapters. In chapter one, the backgrounds and the value of the study on the competency of the network publishing in China, the actuality of the study of the network publishing both internally and externally. In chapter two, industry competency theories, and related concepts are introduced. In chapter three, "Five Factors Model" which is based on the Michael Port's "Diamond Model" is put forward. In chapter four, the actualities of the network publishing both in China and in important western countries are introduced. The strength and weakness of the competency of the network publishing in China are found by analyzing the factors of the competency of the network publishing in China. In chapter five, solution of improving the competency of the network publishing in China is put forward.
