UWB(Ultra- Wide Band) high power technology has been widely applied in the domains of radar, communication, and so on. As the important technology of the UWB high power, the research of high gain UWB antenna is very important.Traditional UWB antennas can work among several frequency band widths, at the same time, they have larger geometry structure that they can't fit the need of compact size of UWB system. Double ridged horn antenna not only has wide frequency bandwidth, small size and well-behaved pattern in wideband, but also has high gain, and it has been used as feed of high gain antenna or element of array antenna. With the advantage of the antenna, a double ridged horn antenna working in the band of 0.1-1 GHz is designed using the numeric analysis in this article. Though reducing the antenna size, the antenna also has better character performance in the working band. The double ridged horn antenna is investigated and analyzed in the below three parts.Firstly, in the design of the antenna structure, ridge structure has important effect on the electric parameters of the whole antenna. Based on the reducing the antenna axial length, we modified the ridge shape to improve the low-frequency performance. Due to the short coming of the pattern in the high frequency band are spitted, we insert straps in the H plane, and the pattern and gain is well-behaved.Secondly, in the case of high power microwave, the feed-in part of the double ridged horn antenna is filled with transformer oil to solve the electric field destroy, at the same time, other parameters have little effect.Thirdly, antenna array is an efficient method to improve the gain and efficiency of UWB antenna. The effects of arrays mutual coupling, element distance, number and structure on the radiation performance of double ridge horn antenna array are analyzed in this part. The feeding time delay of elements controlling the beam steering is considered.
