The technology of Auto-guard is a continuous progressive technology of systems engineering with the development of automotive industry. It is firmly contacted with auto environment, machine and electron, at the same time, it has its own special technology field. There are many disadvantages in current Auto-guard technology, such as its alarm distance is short and has no effective control for lost autos. The present microelectronic, automotive bus and wireless mobile communication technologies provided already advanced ideas and new methods for us.This paper discussed the overall design of long-distance control system based on SMS. It included the technologies of SMS/MMS, CAN bus and AMT. The hardware structure is designed based on the terminal of SMS long-distance control system. It introduced the design method of hardware and correlative details of chip selection, DSP circuit , interface circuit of image collect module, GPRS/GSM module circuit, CAN bus circuit and the supplied power. It also fully narrated the theory of CAN bus communication and SMS/MMS.It also introduced the auto AMT system and its related hardware ciruits, including drive circuit of stepping motor which control transmission and throttle, and circuit of DC motor which control clutch. The softeware was designed: the terminal could inform user with SMS when some unexpected things happened. User also control terminal to collect image or control AMT to slow the auto, thus achieveing long-distance control to auto.
