This paper proposed a car auto-guard system based on 3G network that is contrary to currently popular on the market for GSM /GPRS network-type auto-guard system but simple features, small range, slow transmission. It uses embedded technology, sensor technology, GPS global positioning and 3G wireless network communication technology. The car owners can real-time location of vehicles through 3G mobile phones and mobile video surveillance.Firstly, the car alarm systems are discussed in detail the basic principles involved, including 3G wireless network communication theory, GPS global positioning theory, the principle of embedded systems and embedded Linux operating system choice and reasons. Then the hardware structure and software structure are introduced. The hardware structure includes ARM9 development board S3C2440A, sensor module, GPS global positioning module, 3G module and USB cameras. Software architecture is divided into three subsystems with modules principle of division which includes Data acquisition subsystem, GPS global positioning subsystems and mobile video monitoring subsystem. This article uses C language to complete the programming of each subsystem. Should be noted that it also highlights the migration of embedded Linux, including embedded cross compiler build environment, Bootloader improved, Linux kernel cutting and transplantation, build the root file system in the third chapter.The main vehicle auto-guard system work flow is: the host controller on the vibration sensor for real-time monitoring, when an alarm signal is detected, the main controller starts GPS global positioning subsystem, the subsystem and to communicate and receive GPS satellite Auto current location of the longitude, latitude, time, speed and other information, then transfer to the master controller of the subsystem; and then by the main controller starts mobile video transmission subsystem, the use of USB camera to camera, and 3G wireless network by 3G mobile phones to send to the owners of video and GPS positioning information, enabling the owner of the car mobile video tracking and monitoring functions. Compared to traditional auto-guard system which is popular in online market, Car Alarm System of this paper is using 3G wireless networks instead of GSM / GPRS networks, passive SMS notifications instead of independently monitor the situation. 3G phone owners can be implemented on the mobile video surveillance vehicle using 3G network which is the innovation of this paper.
