Combining with my director's fund project The research and development of the fault diagnose instrument in Shan'xi province, this paper studied the design of CAN Bus communication and monitor system based on DSP. Using the TMS320F2812 DSP of TI company, the testing system takes CAN bus as bottom network to communicate with PC through USBCAN intelligent connection card. Finally it carries on the monitor to the correspondence data, and adopts the graphics programming language LabVIEW as the exploit tool of the software.In hardware, the electric circuit for those peripheral modules and the CAN bus communication module which takes TMS320F2812 as core controller are designed. Powerful CAN bus controller, eCAN, is used to transmit data, which is integrated in the DSP. CAN bus has lots of advantages over the RS-485 bus.The software is debugged in the CCS IDE and using C language. The system makes the function of real-time communication with PC by compiling and composing the application agreement of CAN bus. In addition, the program chart of every function module designed in the monitor system and the application agreement of CAN bus are given in this paper.The monitor module which is coded with LabVIEW language has a succinct direct-viewing supervising interface, and it has some advantages of simple operation and high reliability and easy maintaining. This system can perform the following operations: parameter scheme, data transmission, fixed time save and real-time display, and so on. In the process of test, the operational information is provided by the test information of the console interface. The method which is designed modularly improves dependability and efficiency,and it reduces greatly the experimental cycle.Experiments indicate, this system is stable and correct, and the anticipated function has been realized. It could realize the correspondence function and monitor function with PC, which has certain practical value to the actual project.
