Multilingual Implementation Of The Web Applications Based On J2EE

The waste of the manpower and financial is over conceivable if you develop the different language version for different local users with the conventional way, and the maintenance cost is very high for all versions. Development multilingual software can fast project schedule and save development cost for all language versions. This paper discusses software globalization issues and how to resolve them in development process. Based on multilingual implementation of the Multimedia Education System, the author researchs globalization architecture for Web application based on J2EE; and implement Simplified Chinese, Tibetan, English, Japanese, German languages on Multimedia Education System.This paper brings forward the solution by six parts. At first, it introduces the globalization technologies and the current situation of globalization research. Secondly it points out the importance of software globalization, and illustrates the stubborn case during software globalization. In the third part, the paper illustrates the globalization architecture of Web Applications based on J2EE and implementation. In the fourth part, the paper illustrates how to do user interface design for multi-languages. In the fifth part, the paper illustrates the multilingual implementation of Multimedia Education System. Finally, this paper illustrates the internationalization and localization testing, and analyzes the main points needing attention during software globalization process.The author participates in all the developing internationalization process of Multimedia Education System, and primarily undertakes the research of internationalization layer architecture based on J2EE, and the implement method; and how to do internationalization testing, localization testing. The developing method, process, models of Multimedia Education System have the important instruct and reference meanings to the globalization of Web application system based on J2EE.
