It is crucial to allocate and manage the resources in wireless system because the spectrum is very scarce. Traditional Proportional Fair (PF) scheduling scheme has been proposed to solve unfairness of assignment in wireless network, and the aim is to provide familiar opportunity to be served for users. It usually selects users by considering the allocated resource in the past. However, a user with a low average rate but a low instant rate may be selected to be served at the moment. To deal with this problem, we propose a peak rate sensitive scheduling scheme to optimize the traditional PF scheduling scheme by changing the distribution of the rate values of selected users. Under this scheme, system throughput will be advanced without reducing the fairness among the users. |
