The bandwidth resource of one wireless communication system is limited.It’s important to allocate resource reasonably,the goal of Radio resource management is maximizing the utilization rate of system resource through management and coordination. The next generation wireless communication system have to support higher bandwidth,shorter transmission delay and higher user movement rate,so the radio resource management faces a greater challenge. Resource scheduling is an important technology for the radio resource management, the main function is distributing various system resources to different users at different time. The advanced resource scheduling algorithm is significant to guarantee the fairness among users,improve system throughput and meet business service quality.First of all, in this paper, the wireless resource management and the basic content of resource scheduling were introduced, then not only analyzed the resource scheduling algorithm measurement and key technology but also focused on the three classical resource scheduling algorithm they were Round Robin, Max C/I, Proportional Fair and compared their advantages.Then built MIMO-OFDM system link on MATLAB, based on three kinds of classical resource scheduling algorithm and different antenna configuration system throughput and users fairness was simulated.Finallly, The proportional fair scheduling algorithm formula was deduced in detail, in order to pointed out the nature of the resource scheduling algorithm. Two kinds of improved algorithm were proposed on the basis of PF. One was to increase system throughput by improving the scheduled chance of the user who owned good channel characteristics. The other one was to improve the fairness between users by increasing the scheduled chance of the user who had not been scheduled for a long time.Then simulated the characteristics of all the algorithm and compared their property.
