Research Of Requirement Analysis In Software Development Project

From 1994 to 1997 CHAOS Reports Standish Group confirmed that the most important reason of project failure was related with the requirement. After taking the investigation from five-hundred IT Managers in America and British, they discovered that seventy-six percent interviewees had experienced in the case of their fully failure of project . Although the IT project management is becoming better and better, but it still exits the project failure. The CHAOS Report in 2004 has still twenty-three percent projects were still cancelled and fifty-one percent projects went beyond the project deadline and the budget. At present the requirement problems have already became the primary reason of the project failure, particularly the software development project failure.How to analyze the problem of requirement analysis in the software development project, how to control the changeable requirement, how to do the requirement management well and so on, are the main topic that this article studied. This article references domestic and foreign research results of requirement analysis and studies the problem of the requirement analysis in the software development project. And I summarize a set of theory and the method of requirement analysis in software development project. As an example of specific project in my company, this paper studies in-depth the problems in the software development project. Finally, this paper applies some practical examples to illustrate how to apply the method into software development project for improving operation efficiency and enhancing the success ratio of software development project.This article provides the method and the reference for other companies faced with the similar questions.
