Being appeared in the 1970s, Network Publishing, which prevents the development of the traditional publishing industry by the strong efforts spreading and communicative function, has brought great influences and impacts on the traditional publishing, and also received extensive concern form our society. In order to understand the network publishing in detail and in depth, the thesis tries to analysis and synthesis the definition and characteristics of the network publishing and traditional publishing, which will figure out the law of the development of network publishing. Base on the comparative analysis of the status quos, the prospects and the characteristics of traditional publishing and network publishing. The thesis comes to conclude the traditional publishing and network publishing features great deal of diversity, and the traditional publishing will not be replaced by network publishing, they will coexist for a long time. However, the impact from the emergence of network publishing which affected on traditional publishing should not be ignored. On the one hand, they have brought a huge change to the traditional publishing through improving the efficiency of traditional publishing ;On the other hand, the network publishing have seized the audience groups, which have influenced the business amount of the traditional publishing market in some extent.According to the adverse effects of traditional publishing brought by the network publishing, and the development experiences adopted by press at home and abroad, the thesis presents a contingency strategies targeted publishing concept: First of all, we should establish a new concept of the publication, reform the form and manner of traditional publication, broaden the publication carrier and form a modern concept of modern publishing. Second, train talents for the development of newnetwork publishing. Third: develop new publishing——model-Networkpublishing, to enhance the competitiveness of the press. Fourth establishing and improving network marketing model, and expanding its market share. Fifth, developing on-demand publishing technology, and achieving the aim of zero in stock.
