Design And Implementation Of ASVS Platform On The Basis Of ASP Model

Information technology brings about new challenge for many enterprises, while it also offers them a chance to promote efficiency, to improve management, to save cost and to strengthen the competition ability. However, it is not easy for them to build and maintenance their own information systems, particularly for medium-sized and pint-sized enterprises. Most of the obstacles are from financial and recruiting considerations, ASP is an alternative way to solve the problem. On the contrary to the traditional software application model, enterprises will no longer need to invest and maintain the information systems by themselves when ASP Model is adopted, in which service providers will take over the jobs, and enterprises enjoy and pay for the services. It has become a hotspot in ASP research fields to rebuild existing infor-system with ASP Model.As a case to study, the author has been participated in the design and implementation of ASVS(Agent Service Server) involved ASP. In the first part of paper, the ASP Model, architecture and its application of financial POS are presented; SaaS and its contribution to ASP are discussed as well. In the second part of paper, the latest software application architecture that related to the ASP Model, especially the Single-Instance Multi-Tenant architecture is introduced. Thirdly, the paper describes the Microsoft's SaaS Framework, which is the basis of ASVS and the Smart Client technology used in ASVS. Finally, the ASVS architecture and platform are implemented.The research is based on the practical application, and it is the first case of the ASP application in the finance POS industry. The implementation of the ASVS platform can be considered as a guidance of the correlative software development in the domain especially the software based on ASP Model. Furthermore, the Smart Client technology was designed and implemented. Particularly, ISO8583 protocol is extended the POS to a Smart Client. On the basis of that, the Dynamic Menu Protocol is designed. Depending on the Dynamic Menu Protocol, the business process range of the POS has been enlarged. At present, the ASVS platform is deployed in HUAXIA BANK. It provides variety of services to many merchants and card holders who have been the users of the systems.
