With globalization,enterprises are facing more and more intensive competition. Traditional enterprise production and management methods can't adapt market requirements any more. With continuously products'changing and updating, many middle-size electrical manufacturing plants have to produce multiple products on one line, in order to increase capacity. On this background, the thesis designs and implements an enterprise production process management system with real demand of a foreign-funded manufacturing plant.Thesis analyzed plant's current production status and its demands, found out its functional demands of production process management system, established a model for all functions with UML. On the reference of whole world's advantaged ideas and technology, thesis proposes to combine a hard system which uses bar code technology and data collection & transaction and a soft system which contains several database functional modules together as an organic whole, and thesis states how to implement the hard system and soft system in detail.The hard system uses serial server to collect and transmit bar code, make a control system with sensor and indicator lights on the basis of distributing intellective I/O module; it realized distributing data's collection and transaction of all production process. This hard system adapts to many uses for its expansibility. In views of above, thesis designed and implemented a soft system which is based on RDBMS, contains several functional modules which are independent while interrelate on a hierarchy.After trial run, it shows the system is adapting to manufacturing plant's real situation, runs stable and smoothly, satisfies the expectation. It also helps plants improving quality and shortening lead time. Because of full consideration of applicability and expansibility, the system is providing a platform, which is available to serve for many other industries.
