With the development of electronic technology, the electronic systems become more and more popular and the kinds of electronic equipment become more and more. As the most important part of electronic systems, the performance of power supply directly influence the stabilization and security of electronic equipment. Single-chip switch power supply management IC is the latest evolved in the world. It has the characters of such as high integration level, most cost efficency, lowest component count switcher solution, the simplest peripherial circuit, high performance, forming high efficiency power supply and so on. It has widely application over the world.Based on the research on modern power supply technology, a PWM mode DC-DC controller chip was proposed. Its principle and PWM modulate mode were studied and analyzed. And the BiCMOS process was given. Finished the system design, the functional blocks were designed in 1um technology, which include oscillator, BG, error amplifier, comparator, protect circuits and so on. All circuits and simulate results by Cadence Hspice were given.The figures show that all designs were verified.
