As the rapid development of electronic information industry and the increasing demand of energy saving, modern switching power supplies found wider and wider applications and were developed rapidly.The technology of switching power supply combined the current results of modern switching converter theory, integrated circuit and power semiconductor. It is featuring small volume and weight as well as high efficiency and reliability and becoming the mainstream of modern power supply technology.Based on the research on modern power supply technology, a peak current mode PWM controller chip were proposed. And its principles and system architecture were studied and analyzed, which includes its main loop and control loop.Finished the system design, the functional blocks was designed in 1.5um BCD technology, which included amplifier, reference ,oscillator, comparator, fast over current protection. And all circuits were given. The functional blocks were simulated and verified by Cadence Spectre. The results showed their performances met Spec well. And the system simulation also showed that all of desired functions were realized.Finally, the floorplan and part of layout design was presented...
