At present, the Smartphone is as new business and amusement of mobile, its extra function is more than before and the multimedia application of the Smartphone is as one major function of mobile, growing up rapidly for its convenient Carrying and no restriction of time or region. MobileGame has become the quickest part of development of whole video game domain. The game engine integrates the most common and the most important function to form the common frame platform. Thus, when carries on the concrete game product development, the game programmer does not need to start over from the beginning, but directly transfers the powerful function which the game engine provides and produces high quality new games in the short time in order to adapt intense market competition in game industry. Along with the enhancement of the phone performance and the application of the graph technology in the mobile game, the mobile game will certainly into a luminescent spot of the mobile game. Therefore develops a strong compatible mobile game engine, will be more effective and convenient to the the development of mobile game in the future, will be the key points of the game develop of the future.Firstly, Proposed the research background and significance of this subject, and expound on the characteristics of the mobile phone games. Then compared and presented several popular operating systems associated with the subjects of the current study, which focused on introducing the Symbian operating system, illuminate the advantages and characteristics on the mobile phone operating system.Secondly introduced S60 application framework,focused on three structural framework S60 Series manner and described in detail.and then introduced the relevant central technologies related to the procedures, including: graphics operation, sound processing, active objects, clock, handling keys and so on.Then introduced the principle of the engine, as well as its design goals , and then focuses on the normal circumstances, introduced the basic knowledge which the game engine related, including the cycle of the game, graphics engine modules, sound modules, collision detection module, and supporting software tools and so on.Finally introduced the example such as "wind Fairy"with engine which based on Symbian OS, analyzed its development process and the main points in details.
