| China's Provincial satellite TV became a new force suddenly rises from 1990s which lead to an ultimately change of the nation's TV market pattern. At the same time, the industry of TV has became more activity happened in market economy. The competition among TV station call for new regulation in market and judge standard. Beside, the competition from abroad also need to pursuer rating. At this situation, China's Provincial satellite TV station tried their best to pursuer rating to earn status in the competition among TV station in China.Analysis on rating is based on rating data which focus on the factors that affect the rating. It is aimed to present the true situation of rating. The data explanation even speculation in rating analysis bring huge affection to a single channel even the whole TV industry.This thesis analysis the characteristics and application of rating used in Provincial satellite TV that based on carding the definition of rating. After thinking the frame of rating analysis, this thesis explored the path of rating analysis of Provincial satellite TV which provide idea to the development and orientation of Provincial satellite TV. The conclusion as follows: Firstly, rooting the analysis market and the main competitor. Secondly, as the important part of this thesis, it analyzing the index system, audience factors and channel factors. Meanwhile, the audience factors has become the important gist of channel's development, channel factors is the principal part of communication activity, and it is also the key of rating analysis. Thirdly, the valuable of Provincial satellite TV's rating analysis is incarnated by orientation of channel and competition strategy. This thesis choose Jiangxi province's satellite TV as case study to analysis the path of rating analysis of Provincial satellite TV deeply. The development of Jiangxi province's satellite TV confirmed the guidance effect and realism meaning of rating analysis. |
