The infrared radiation is the inherent characteristic of all objects, it has many excellent features which electromagnetic wave and visible light don't have, so the simulation technology of infrared features becomes one of the most important technical areas in the world. In recent years, with the development of infrared imaging technology, this technique has been used more and more in the military field. The modern weapon system begins to pay much more attention to detecting,identifying and attacking targets by the use of the infrared radiation. In order to improve the weapon system and the hiding of targets, the infrared features of typical targets must be provided. According to the domestic and foreign research,the requirement of target practice,and our technology, this paper will develop a giant simulation target of infrared imaging for ball firing.The infrared target system is basing on the infrared imaging technique, we can figure out the final design of the whole system by analyzing the heat radiation theory,the thermal equilibrium theory and the creation theory of infrared images. The real pictures are used as the data source, the control signal will be got after dealing with these data by using the Matlab. The FPGA is used as the control chip and pulse scan as the heating up method. Finally we can reproduce the living images of targets and backgrounds. The working principle is discussed in several aspects, especially the creation and transmission of the image data as well as the control and driving section of the schedule circuit. When the sample is finished we will analyze its temperature and precision, find out the factors that influence the system and educe the feasible amelioration. In the end, explain the intelligentized connection technique and show the optimized design.
