With the development of infrared-guided and infrared imaging-guided weapons, the various performance parameters of infrared seeker should be tested, which need to be provided with the infrared characteristics of the target and background. Based on infrared imaging technology, this paper designs an infrared imaging target which can simulate infrared target and background characteristics, the system can control the temperature of the simulated target to achieve intelligence for carrying on analysis and evaluation of the infrared imaging system' s performance.This paper researches into the theory that the external environment affects the IR target simulation system, introduces the intelligent control system's overall design of the IR target and the design process of the prototype, then it transfers the processed data of the infrared image and converts these data to the driver timing by the FPGA control system. With the peripheral power driver circuit, the system heats the resistor arrays which can form the infrared features of the simulated target. Based on the optimal design of overall program, this paper raises a method of achieving high-resolution images through modular splicing technology, this kind of target is made of many small high-resolution targets. Meanwhile, this paper researches into the heat radiation characteristics of the target surface material and the energy distribution conditions of infrared radiation in a given temperature distribution , it designs the intelligent control feedback loops to achieve an infrared target closed-loop control system under the actual circumstances on the theory of radiation and infrared radiation compared.
