Based on the research of target recognition and tracking algorithm in infraredimaging, this paper introduces and studies the principles of infrared imaging andsimulation, designs and evaluates a tracking algorithm, classifies the ways ofjamming, and then establishes a simulation platform.This paper first reviews the basic principles of infrared radiation, atmospherictransmission and infrared detection, and then derives some formulas for simulation.These formulas can be used to estimate the actual situation of infrared imaging, andcan also be used for the simulation. Then the infrared radiation formulas and theOpenGL rendering methods are compared to get the approach for simulating theinfrared imaging using the visible light model of OpenGL. The rendering result issatisfying.On the understanding of characteristics of infrared imaging, this paper groupsthe features of infrared imaging into four characteristics, and then one trackingalgorithm is proposed based on them. To design this algorithm, this paper proposessome new image processing methods such as double back projection, which plays animportant role in the identification and tracking. Both the tests on the simulation andreal infrared image sequences show that the algorithm runs well with several harmfulfactors, such as low SNR, scale variation of target and artificial jamming.In order to get better understanding of the anti-interference ability of the trackingsystem, this paper summarizes and organizes a variety of interference approaches,gives the judging parameter of the jamming strength of these interferences, andprovides the index to measure the anti-interference ability of different trackingalgorithms. After that an effective way of jamming is proposed.Finally, the infrared imaging simulation, the tracking algorithm and interferenceare integrated into one infrared counter simulation platform, which implements theinfrared simulation based on environment parameters, loading of tracking algorithmsand interference, and multiple simulations.
