Research And Application Of OLAP Technology In Tax Management Information System

Over the last decade, traditional database system is online transaction processing systems (OLTP) as a data management tool, mainly for business, but has been unable to meet the end-user OLTP database query on the analysis of the requirements; SQL database on the simple queries can not meet the demand of users. Needing for decision-making relational database can be a lot of results, but the results of inquiries can,not meet the needs of decision makers. 1993 relational database father E. F. Codd made the multidimensional database and put forward the concept of multidimensional analysis, online analytical processing (OLAP) to effectively provide the way of this problem. A data warehouse, OLAP and related front-end display technology as the core data analysis model enterprises are profoundly changed the decision-making process, gradually became a commercial decision-making data analysis of the mainstream technology in the decision-making part of the management plays an important role.Tax Information building after more than 10 years of exploration, practice and development, and has made tremendous achievements in promoting a strong rise in the level of taxation work. At the same time, tax information systems produce a large number of valuable data, how to extract these data analysis for enterprise decision-making useful information is the important problem of these managers decision-making. At this stage most of the management staff only do some simple data, local querying operations, and lack of in-depth analysis of these data, a deep-level mining valuable information as China's tax system faces one of the major problems. Researching data warehouse, OLAP technology in the data analysis system of effective solutions to the above problems, is a great significance in theory and practice.In this paper, it introduces the background of this paper and the purpose firstly. It is presents the concept of data warehouse and about online analytical processing OLAP technology. And then it tells the methods and requirements of data warehouse projects' development, software reusing, and other new related database technologies, and in accordance with the features of OLAP projects, in-depth studying of its features. Finally, through tax data analysis system project in practice, the paper puts forward a set of practical solutions on OLAP technology.The paper are in-depth studying and resolving these R&D which needed in the development processes, solving the key issues which impact the development of the efficiency. Finally, sum up the main prospect on the future development of OLAP technology and the problem in future.
