Data Warehouse Technology Research And Implementation, In The Golden Finance Project

Data Warehouse has been accepted by more and more enterprises, government departments and institutions as a way of Decision Support.Government Fiscal Management Information System (GFMIS) is also called Golden Fiscal Project in China. During the development of GFMIS, data warehouse architecture also should be developed. So the data in the data warehouse can be used, mined and analyzed adequately. Then the economic situation can be forecasted, which is based on the analyzed result.Firstly, the development curse, the characters and the architectures of Data Warehouse are introduced. Secondly, the situation of GFMIS in china and the analysis of data warehouse technology being used in GFMIS are introduced. Thirdly, a whole development process, including designing a data warehouse, Extracting, Transforming and Loading the data from OLTP database to data warehouse, and displaying the analyzed result, is also explained. Finally, an example of designing data warehouse structure, transforming data from the OLTP system, which is based on one of the applications of GFMIS, to a data warehouse and realizing the OLAP is carried out.I wish this thesis can provide some assistance in building the data warehouse architecture for GFMIS.
