The Information Management System Of Residential Area Based On GIS

With the advancment of the information age, geography information system has been improved rapidly from theoretical studies to practical application, and widely used in many fields such as Resouce Research, Environment Evaluation, Disaster Forecast, Country Management, City Programming and etc. Provide a powerful information handling and decision supporting services for various departments. Because of its visual information function, geography information system (GIS) has become the development trend of computer information system. Through analysing the mode of GIS and GIS integration, designs the management system of residential estate. This project applies component GIS in the information management system of residential area to implement graphical management. Prospect using VC++ and MapObjects(ESRI) component to develop interface, background using SQLServer database storage, and through coding to achieve GIS data (MapObjects support Shapefiles) developing application in the layer interface, enhanced information sharing and the residential information management level.The system design includes overall structure, functional design, database design, algorithm design, interface design and the connection between database and system interface. System database design mainly solves the establishment of spatial database and property database as well as the connection relations between them. The system interface is designed for supplying clients with friendly and convenient man-machine interactive interface. Connectivity between interface and database design is to use ADO to achieve property data browsing and editing.The system software design and the realization mainly include correspondence realization between all kinds of software. Correspondence realization between all kinds of software in the system refers to correspondence between VC++ and MapObjects, VC++ and SQL Server.The residential estate, all buildings, valves and inhabitants are organized and managed. The system functions include data input, output, query, browse, statistics, bidirectional query of property data and spatial data, and the management of fee, litigation and repair events within residential estate.
