Underground coalmine production is very dangerous. During the process of production, production safety can be effectively improved by implementation of intellectualized monitoring and management. When accident occurs, the location information of workers underground can be acquired, the rescue can be taken timely and accurately. It is an important guarantee of the long-term, continuous and smoothly development of coalmine production.By researching the mobile object positioning technologies and wireless ad hoc network, analyzing the characteristics of coalmine production and the transmission of the radio wave in the tunnel, mobile object positioning system aiming to the environment of underground coalmine is designed in this thesis. Zigbee technology and RSS positioning method are adopted to solve the problem of multi-disturbing source in mine and of choosing the mobile object positioning technology and method in the radio wave fast fading environment. A special structured proposal of integration of LAN general line network, wireless LAN and wireless self-organized network is proposed. The problem of production needs, which cannot be satisfied timely during the process of network construction, is solved. Object positioning problem is decomposed into production positioning and rescue positioning to achieve the goal of decreasing the time cost in rescue decision-making, improving the safety of underground coalmine production and affectivity of rescue, by using the different positioning precision and combined positioning.Coalmine digitalization is the development trend of enterprises. The system is an important part of digitalization. It could speed up the development course of digitalization if it is integrated with the successful information results by using system integration technologies.
