The process control system is known as second system. It is a system that makes and coordinates the production schedule according to management information of the raw materials on the whole production process; when processing the raw materials, it discerns the operation statues of the production line according to the electric control signal of the fundamental automatic network, tracks the operating situation of the whole control system and offer the information for supper production management; Meanwhile, it collect various kinds of process data in the production process , and deal with according to certain method and calculate the data with the mathematics model, then send out the setting value to the fundamental automation system, and realize the control and management of the production process.A Level2 systems software solution- PASolution, had studied, and the principle and characteristic of the solution in communication method, process management, alarm and daily record management, customer development, and etc, had been systematic analysis. Analysis and design method that based on second system of PASolution had been proposed according to the platform characteristic and building structure of PASolution, which is the mode of the event processing application program structure. At the same time, according to PASolution's characteristic and limitation on present, a scheme which expenses the original systematic function by using Microsoft.NET technology was proposed, and then the range of the solution's application is expanded on the basis of protecting existing systematic property.Tonghua steel's group's thin belted steel hot rolling system is a typical production process automation systems. While designing the system, according to the enterprises'current demands, analyzing the characteristic of production process, combining the merits of developer's in software and hardware platform, a systematic structure of control system was proposed, which has a high data transmission speed and a high response speed. In the software design of the system, according to the concrete demand for thin belted steel hot rolling production line's control system, an process control software system had been designed and developed, taking the PASolution as the media, and expanding the PASolution existing frame on certain extends.One method can be applied on other way. Since our country's automatic level is a few backward relatively to other country at present, process control system solution on the market is mainly depended on the software platform that is provided by automatic products'foreign provider. This thesis initially briefly introduces the fundamental knowledge of steel production line process system, and then focuses on analyzing and studying the characteristic of an steel production line's Level2 control system solution- PASolution (Process Automaton Solution) taking Windows as server at the respect of the essential communication management, the logging management, the process management, the alarm process, client development, data gathering and etc. And then take Tonghua steel's group's thin belted steel hot rolling production line process control system as an example and continually analyze and study the application of this system.Through the Level2 inside synthetically test and the first level fundamental automation jointly test, the system's function is proved well, and will be on filed test stage in October 2005. Practice has proved that the designed process control systems of Tonghua steel's group's thin belted steel hot rolling production line is feasible on the framework and usability.
