Design And Implementation Of Multimedia Presentations Framework Middleware

With the rapid development of Internet, media display has been very popular in current applications. Compared with other media, the multimedia is flexible, dynamic and intuitive, which attracts lots of users. To display multimedia information quickly and easily has become the urgent need. Nowadays, Flight Information Display System can satisfy the demand of displaying and publishing information, however, they can only support one special kind of terminal. A minority of systems could display media through multiple terminals. But to realize them, developer must spend extra efforts and time on re-implementation, which increases the workload of development and moreover limits the scalability and performance of systems.To improve the scalability of traditional systems and formalize the development of multimedia business, firstly, this paper proposes the multimedia display framework on the base of analyzing defects of original systems. The framework uses middleware technology. Secondly, the paper expatiate design and implementation of the framework. It provides the programming interface to the upper application at the same time ensures itself hardware independence. Thirdly, the paper implements a system named IMPS to validate the middleware. Through the experiment, the framework is proved efficient and stable, which can be referenced by future research and other multimedia application.
