The Research Of Multiplex And Demultiplex Of MPEG Standard Streams In Digital TV Broadcast System

Digital technology now has been the most important and marked character in the information society and digital video technology has been the focus of the process of communication , multimedia,broadcasting and computer industry. Digital TV based on MPEG-2 not only concentrates most of the new technology of its fields, but also promotes many new technologies in related domains. DVB/MPEG-2 transport stream multiplexer plays an important role in digital video broadcasting system. It can combine several transport streams from source encoder into a single transport stream to transport channel. Its performance has a great influence on the program transmission ability of HDTV system.This thesis introduce the principal of transport stream multiplexing which is based on MPEG-2/DVB system specifications for broadcasting, discuss the implementation algorithms of transport stream multiplexer, and describe design and implementation.The main contents of thesis are at a glance: By studying DVB and MPEG-2 standards, MPEG-2 system structure and the means of PSI and SI are mastered. Then we discusses the principle of multiplexer and demultiplexer, and focus on several key technologies in the process of multiplexing and demultiplexing.Finaly we give a implementation of the rectification of system multiplexer which based on DSP, and describes the hardware structure and software flow in detail.We design the multiplexer of parallel module, to apply for need of multiplex and demultiplex. We set about serevral key technic of multiplex and demultiplex to design system. The system is composed of eight uniform input module, control module, multiplex module of DSP and output module. Main body of multiplexer was composed of DSP and CPLD. Because software of DSP can been amended, and CPLD can been recomposed of millions times, this way of design is very convenient to upgrade system.
