| With the development of the modern technology, electronic technology, computer control technology, as well as automobile equipment technique, the new electronic application system--the car-mounted Video-on-Demand (VOD) system is getting rid of the stale and brings forth the fresh. And now days, most video on demand system are bulky, Moreover the installment and the maintenance quite is all complex. These systems only can apply in the railway carriages, and can't be installed on the highway bus or plane, because this kind of place has the special request to the volume and the weight. Following car-mounted Video-on-Demand system's development trend, and the actuality of our nation's market, an all-around solution to the problem is proposed in this paper, which integrates these functions by embedded system.This paper describes the design and realization of software and hardware of the car-mounted Video-on-Demand system. In the design, the FPGA chip is adopted. FPGA chip has on-circuit-programming feature and high-speed interfaces, which are available to image-processing. Features of the system:1.A video on demand server may process at least 64 video on demand terminals concurrent selection and broadcast request.2.Video broadcast function.3.General information service, including: Weather forecast, scheduled flight time and peripheral environment introduction and so on.4.Rolls the captions demonstration, display the immediate information in the video on demand system television picture. The paper's first important research content is how to read the video data stream form hard disk system by FPGA. Including: FAT32 system, hard disk read-write principle, DMA controller design and Software programming.The paper's second important research content is the communication network realization between the video-on-demand server and all video-on-demand terminals. The video data stream transmitted to each terminal by fiber system, and each terminal's selection request transmitted to server by CAN Bus system.Finally, according to the result which obtains from system actual movement, Summarized this system's characteristic. |
