The traditional temperature and humidity monitor system based on the RS485 bus has a complicated routing and limited transmission distance. Nowadays, there are a lot of large enterprises which have much more warehouses or the archives located in different locations and large buildings. We need to monitor the temperature and humidity of these places which were at very scattered locations. It is very difficult for us to manage the temperature and humidity in a unified manner. In addition, the transmission of food and medicine need real-time monitoring of temperature and humidity and communicate with the treasury central monitor system. Ethernet has been widely used in real life, and how to use it to transform the temperature and humidity monitor system based on the RS485 for the formation of large-scale remote distributed temperature and humidity monitor system has become an urgent problem.In this paper, we design a remote distributed intelligent temperature and humidity monitor system based on the existing Ethernet. This system is easy to install, no re-routing. This paper describes in detail the structure and working principle of the overall system. The system uses a modular design and it can be transformed a little, then it will be used in different suitable and more locations for a distributed intelligent remote temperature and humidity monitor system.The software of the temperature and humidity monitor has a good online interactive function. The interrupted can be used to set time corrected value, temperature and humidity up and down limits, sampling interval value and temperature and humidity corrected value, then these data were uploaded to disk. It can retrieve the data of present temperature and humidity and the monitor's state. And the corresponding instructions can extract from the existing history temperature and humidity data of disk according to the sampling interval. LED synchronous display the current time, temperature, humidity, and according to the upper or lower limit of the temperature and humidity value which has been set determine whether to drive buzzer alarm and automatically monitors temperature and humidity.In this paper, we have introduced the following topics. The introduction has displayed the background, development and significance of the research. The overall structure and working principle of the distributed intelligent temperature and humidity monitor system and the specific modules and implementation of the temperature and humidity monitor are introduced in detail. At the bottom software design part of the temperature and humidity monitor includes the workflow, data formats and communication protocols of the temperature and humidity monitor design. PC management software part introduces the overall management software components and the function module design. At last, we have presented summary and outlook of the article.
