The modern battle in 21st century will be information-based and electronic-based. In the modern battlefield, the electromagnetism signal will be quite dense which formed the extra complex electromagnetism environment. The Dynamic Background Signal Generation System is aimming at constructing an electromagnetism environment which contains high signal frequency, different signal pattern and huge signal density. The main function of the system is to simulate a real-time communication environment to test the missile or other high-tech weapon's anti-jamming capacity in the battlefield nowadays. This paper is based on the project of the Dynamic Background Signal Generation System. First, introduced the SDR's (Software Defined Radio) math model of the project. Second, studied the fix-point arithmetic of the signal modulation and also the signal filtering method; wrote the fix-point modulation C program which run on the C6000 DSPs, also estimated the efficiency of the program; designed the data moving scheme based on the C6000's EDMA technology; debugged the DDR2 SDRAM Module using MIG (Memory Interface Generator) tools. At last, designed the hardware module of the system, summarized the key point which need to be attention in the hardware design process. The whole system design flow is based on the SDR theory, for the further improvements of the the Dynamic Background Signal Generation System, this paper may contain some reference value.
