As a very new scientific research task, the simulator of electromagnetism environment of communication signals has broad application foreground. And there is an urgent need for it. Not only can it provide a vivid electromagnetism environment of battlefield communication, but also it can provide a signal scene similar to the real work environment for the development, the manufacture and the test of many civil products. At present, the system research is a challenging problem both at home and abroad as it involves complicated signal processing and hardware designing technology.Our research on this subject centers on design and realization of the dynamic background signal generator in the simulator of electromagnetism environment of communication signals. First, this paper discusses some tentative schemes for the generation of dynamic background signals, and their advantages and disadvantages are discussed too. Then, the scheme based on software radio is analyzed emphatically. The theories of software radio, digital orthogonal modulation, multivelocity signal processing and frequency spectrum shift, and the method of frequency band division and jointing are introduced. The simulation of frequency-lock signals, the peak value analyse of intermediate frequency signals and the quantization bits are all given. At last, the hardware realization method of dynamic background signal generator based on software radio is advanced.Some production in this paper also applies experience and use for reference to broad band software radio transmitters.
