The Research And Development Of Wireless Sensor Network Organizing System For Structural Health Monitoring

In order to apply wireless sensor network to perform health monitoring for large structures and get the reactions of these structures under some load, a large number of sensor test nodes have to be arranged on the structures. For a favorable monitoring task, it’s very important to organize an efficient and stable network between dispersedly arranged sensor nodes to exchange and transmit data.In this paper, wireless sensor network organizing technology for structural health monitoring is researched, and embedded program for wireless sensor monitoring devices which were invented by the research group is developed. Based on this, a wireless sensor network organizing system for structural health monitoring is developed, and different network organizing modes are realized for different structure forms or distribution of sensor test nodes. The system can also maintain the monitoring network after organized and make sure the whole structural health monitoring system function normally.Firstly, wireless sensor network organizing technology for structural health monitoring is researched. After the application objects of wireless sensor network organizing system for structural health monitoring are briefly introduced, the paper analyzes the characteristic, network organizing technology request and embedded programming method of structural health monitoring network. Then several network organizing modes for structural health monitoring are proposed, and the application scope, advantages and disadvantages are expatiated. Embedded program is developed to realize every mode.Secondly, wireless sensor network organizing software system for structural health monitoring is developed. The paper generally introduces function partition and interface of the software, then expatiates the programming method and operation interface of all the functions in network organizing module and display module. After that, all kinds of network organizing modes, which the software is able to realize, are explained by several examples performed in the lab.Finally, wireless sensor network organizing system for structural health monitoring is applied on the security operation monitoring project of the national stadium to finish the network organizing task at the beginning of the monitoring process, to check network function state and maintain the monitoring network during the whole monitoring process, and to make sure monitoring data can be favorably accept and the whole structural health monitoring system function normally.
