In the field of industries such as textile, printing and dyeing, Infrared Edge Detector is the important equipment before the processing procedures of dyeing, printing, finalizing the design by heat. Cloth, which is moving at high speed in the production line, the direction of transmission can not deviate, so as to avoid the cloth depressed edge vary, affecting the processing quality of the following working procedures. This equipment can automatically and precisely trace the location of the cloth edge and then lock it with the mechanic structure for the next processing procedures. This paper's search object is Infrared Edge Detecting system, designes an Infrared photoelectricity edge detector which is suitable for streamline, fast track speed, high control precision, well anti-interference ability and performance reliability. The main contents are as follows:Firstly, through analyzing the work principle and developmental tendency of Infrared Edge Detector, This paper research the useful of MCU technology on the instrument and Infrared Edge Detector's performance requirement and parameter target.Secondly, the current Infrared Edge Detector'usual controlling part and performing part is researched, and all parts's function as well as the essential technology is introducted. According to the main technical target and actual request, this paper constructes design goal and the holistic model of the system and give the overall schemes of hardware and software.Thirdly, the research and development of Infrared Photoelectricity Edge Detector is introduced in detail, including MCU controlling module, servo motor controlling module, D/A application module, signal transmitting and receiving module, keyboard and LED demonstration module, serial communication mudule and power module. Then schematic diagram and the PCB board are completed, each module is tested at last.Fourthly, this paper designes software of Infrared Photoelectricity Edge Detector respectively, it mainly divided into data transmitting and collecting, keyboard data processing, MCU and servo motor serial communication. Then Infrared detecting head's disturbance function and flow charts are analyzed and designed in detail. Each module procedure is compiled and debugged at last. Finally, under the system design requirements, and developing an Infrared Edge Detector prototype, its hardware and software are experimented and debugged, and the experimental results and data are given out, analyzing the conclusions of debugging.Through the prototype tests, it shows that Infrared Photoelectricity Edge Detector has the high precision and fast tracking speed. Positioning accuracy, control characteristic curve, proportional control range, responsing speed, driving force and other areas of technical parameters are attained or better than design standards require, the prototype can work stably and achieve the expected goals.
