According to the characteristics of dyeing and printing production process, technology andequipment, this paper puts forward a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) for printing anddyeing production based on radio frequency identification (RFID) technology, and focuses on thearchitecture, real-time production data acquisition and scheduling problem in printing&dyeingMES under the RFID technology condition to improve the negotiability of the information inmanagement system and manufacturing control system of printing and dyeing enterprises.This paper describes the characteristics of enterprise management and production process ofprinting and dyeing industry in detail. On the basis of the relationship between each standardfunctions in MES module and the production processes of printing and dyeing, the printing anddyeing industry is defined as the combination of process production and discrete manufacturing.According to the international standards of hybrid manufacturing execution system and batchproduction, this paper establishes a general model of printing and dyeing MES, analyzes thefeasibility to apply RFID technology in this hybrid model, constructs an architecture of printing&dyeing MES based on RFID.Online data acquisition in production process is a core function in printing&dyeing MES,and the fundamental of establishing the real time production management system to optimize andmanage activities in production. However the real-time performance of acquiring process dataindirectly through bar code or QR code which has been adopting in most of printing&dyeingenterprises cannot be satisfied. A method of collecting production date using RFID-basedelectronic material vehicle is presented to achieve the acquisition of real-time data and thesynchronous information of material processing and manufacturing management in printing anddyeing MES. The anti-collision technology, the location technology and the read-writetechnology of RFID tags and readers are studied additionally in this paper.This paper constructs a multi-agent task scheduling based on RFID technology in view ofthe uncertainty and dynamic of printing and dyeing scheduling. The resource and roles of each agent resources is analyzed, the functions of RFID in the system is illustrated. and the bidprocessing in insert emergency task and selection of station process is applied. A program ofexperimental simulation is designed to clarify the effectiveness from point of the facilityutilization and the retention time of the task list in this paper.At the last part of this paper, descriptions of application analysis and performance test of theAMR information system is presented in which the printing&dyeing MES, the electronicmaterial vehicle and the multi-agent scheduling system were installed.
