In this paper, on the basis of the current situation of research on the methods about drill pipe at home and abroad, with the aim of researching and developing the control and measure system for Shanghai Baosteel Co., Ltd, the successful hardware and software design of the relevant control system are presented.Based on the method named Ringy Discrete Structured Light Measurement, this paper presents the control and measure system for the thickening part of drill pipe. This system, based on the PLC as control center units and the PC as data processing units, is a master-slave control system.Besides, some special measures and methods to be adopted. Such as hardware interlocking, single communications, fault self-diagnosis, electromagnetic isolation and signal differential and so on. All of those improve the reliability of the control system and ensure the stable operation as well as equipment safety. So far the measuring control system has been used on the site. And the whole times of failure-free operation are more than 10,000 times.Thesis focuses on the control system hardware design and electrical design, including power system design, PLC system hardware design, servo system design and interface circuit design. The hardare design was expatiated primarily from the requirements, target selection and specific design. Finally some notes for hardware designs are delivered briefly.The software is code and debug with PLC language. It mainly focused on the flow figure of each modular. Such as power system, PLC system, Reset, AC Servo and self-protected system and so on. For each modular, the software system was introduced mainly by the necessity and the specific design.Based on the whole hardware and software system, the actual result and the function are tested and the precision analysis for control system is also conducted. From the modular testing to function testing, from function testing to data analysis, all of testing verified the functionality, accuracy and stability of this control system.At last,the work and accomplishment and reconstruction of Servo control system and software are summarized, and moreover, Ways to improve this system are point out.
