The Research And Implement Of Interoperablity In Education Management Information System

With the rapid development of computer network and communication technology, the degree of education information keeps increasing and education becomes more and more informational. Now more and more schools and all of the educational management departments have built up their own EMIS (Education Management Information System). But because of diversity of each unit and each department's informatization progress, and the various program tools and platforms which they use, it is very difficult to carry out the information sharing and interoperability between various EMIS, thereby there are many serious "Information isolated islands".Precisely under such backgrounds, this thesis makes a study of the interoperability problem among the education management information systems, and mainly explores how to solve the problem in data sharing and exchanging among the variable systems and database systems.Based on the deep understanding of the specification for EMIF( Education Management Information System Interoperability Framework), the thesis designed and developed theimportant components------ZIS (Zone Integration Server) and Agent, which can be used toconnect different EMIS. They are strictly according to EMIF data specification and message specification.
